Holy Week was a busy time for everyone and Holy Week 2021 was no exception. Yet, Bishop Minerva G, Carcaño invited us to pause and wonder what it must have been like to journey with Jesus this final week of his earthly life.
Bishop Minerva shared daily meditations beginning Palm Sunday, continuing through Easter during Holy Week. In each meditation Bishop Minerva wondered with us what it must have been like to journey with Jesus those thousands of years ago, from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, to the Temple and the Upper Room, to the cross and the grave, to his glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday.
On Wednesday of Holy Week, the conference hosted a Service of Lament and Healing Addressing Hatred and Violence Against Asian-Americans. Bishop Minerva and Lay Leader Micheal Pope gathered Asian-American leaders throughout the conference to collaborate and develop the service which was shared on Zoom and broadcast live on the conference Facebook page.
