Register now: Building relationships with GBGM missionaries


Rev. Dr. Fel Cao, Conference Secretary of Global Ministries and the Global Ministries Team of the Conference Committee on Mission Service, will be hosting a panel presentation around how you and your local church can build relationships with missionaries serving the UMC both nationally and internationally.

The presentation will take place on November 16 at 4 p.m. PT. and featured panelists Katherine Parker, Rev. Courtney Randall, and Suellen Rowlinson.  The gathering will be a meeting styled zoom, so everyone will be able to see each other during our conversation.
Katherine Parker is a missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, working in community development in Nepal. She serves as a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Advisor with the United Mission to Nepal (UMN).

The Rev. Courtney Randall is currently a Mission Advocate for the Western Jurisdiction Global Ministries. She and her husband, Rev. Dan Randall, served as Global Ministry Missionaries in Latvia where their daughter was born. Their family of five is a missionary family rooted in the understanding that mission is both global and local.

Suellen Rowlinson shared, "A two week bus trip across the Southwest to El Paso and Juarez, Mexico and return trip via New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and California cemented my life long desire to interact with people and cultures. It was called the Southwest Mission Tour for high school students. I have been a member of the Missions Committee and now the Church and Society Committee. Katherine Parker was and remains one of the missionaries that Trinity U."
