Over the last few months, the Cal-Nev Conference Ministry has been blessed with donation of critical supplies and financial contributions.  Several congregations have also assisted with wildfire survivor follow up and support.

To name a few:

  • Mount Tamalpais UMC in Mill Valley resupplied our wildfire sifters.
  • San Ramon Valley UMC sent a donation to the Conference Disaster Response Fund and designated a Communion Offering to Disaster Response.
  • The Elk Grove United Women in Faith provided school kits.
  • First UMC, Willows also donated school kits.
  • Mariposa UMC is helping survivors of the Oak Fire in their recovery.
  • Yreka UMC provided volunteers to help with the McKinney and Mill Fires Local Assistance Centers (LAC)
  • El Dorado County Federated Church in Placerville provided LAC staffing and assisted with the follow up with survivors of the Mosquito Fire.
  • Pioneer UMC in Auburn is checking with survivors of the Mosquito Fire in Placer County.
  • Oakhurst New Community UMC is providing survivor follow up for the Forks Fire.

If you or your church would like to make a Fall donation, we are currently working on replenishing our Disaster Response Fund to be ready for 2023.
