Registration extended to 1/22: 2023 virtual church officer training January 27th and 28th

As a body of Christ, we have weathered the pandemic and adapted to our new normal.  Our committees and leadership teams may consist of new leaders learning new roles, yet we continue to evolve and dedicate ourselves to God's work.
It is a new year - an opportunity for a fresh start. We sharpen our focus, retool for our roles as church leaders, and engage in a new year of mission service in communities across the California-Nevada Conference.

The Conference will host a virtual Church Leadership Training on January 27th & 28th for those serving as Lay Leaders, Treasurers, Trustees, and members of Staff Parish Relations (SPR/PPRC) and Finance Committees. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

This training is the perfect time to gather to focus anew on our leadership roles and how these roles support the greater mission—God’s mission in the world. During the Saturday training (January 28, 9-1 pm), you will receive critical information about your role and responsibility, the top 10 must-knows, and case studies that challenge even the most experienced. So even if you are not new in your position, you can benefit from this training.
Most importantly, on Friday evening (January 27, 6-8 pm), we will have a mini-retreat to ground our time together in God’s Spirit of renewal and regeneration. We will share in the joy of connection as we discern how our parts fit into God’s plan for the world.

As United Methodists, we form the body of Christ. Let's take this opportunity to gather and sharpen our skills so that we can begin 2023 focused and ready for the mission of God in and through California-Nevada. To God be the glory.
Please register for the training by Sunday, January 22nd through this registration link: 2023 CHURCH LEADERSHIP VIRTUAL TRAINING EVENT (
